Jan Elmore is an artist and Montessori teacher who lives in the countryside near Charlottesville, Virginia. All of her paintings, sculptures, and mirrors, whether composed of paper, wood, metal, or canvas, use color, texture, and shape to create layers of visual interest. They range in style from representational to abstract/non-objective. The wall-mounted sculpture shown combines wood, stucco, canvas, leather, and steel.
