A professional development workshop and networking opportunity, featuring:
- Economic development initiatives like Michigan's "Cool Cities"
- National perspectives on arts and economic development
- Revitalizing communities with arts distrcts
- Community cultural planning.
All those interested in innovative economic, community development and tourism initiatives, and the role of arts and culture in supporting and building these initiatives, are invited to participate. The workshop is aimed at staff, business leaders, commission/board members and other volunteers and elected officials in the fields of arts and culture, parks and recreation, economic development, planning and community development, tourism and industry.
